Ngozi Nwobi, MSN, BSN, MS
Ngozi Nwobi is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Adult Psychiatry and Mental Health. She started her nursing career at Jersey Shore Medical Center, a member of Meridian Health. Prior to joining Genpsych, she worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, an acute in-patient psychiatric hospital, where she worked with patients in crisis and patients with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI). Ngozi has held a variety of psychiatric nursing positions at UMDNJ-UCHC, Summit Oaks Psychiatric Hospital and AT&T/Avaya, Inc.
Ngozi received her Master’s in Nursing from University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ), with Nurse Practitioner Certification in Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health. She received her BSN from Seton Hall University and an MS in Computer Science from Southern University.
Ngozi is member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and American Nurses Association. She currently works at both the Bridgewater and Brick offices for GenPsych.
Robyn Spodek-Schindler, MA, MS, ATR-BC, LCAT, LPC
Robyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor (NJ) and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (NY) who has been working in the Mental Health field since 2004. She attended Nova Southeastern University for her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and then attended Long Island University for her Master of Art in Clinical Art Therapy. Robyn has experience working in schools, hospitals, and various counseling settings in both New York and Florida and currently works in New Jersey. She places her focus on Client-Centered Therapies as well as Cognitive Behavioral skills but Robyn especially enjoys using her Creative Arts background while working with both adults and teens. These therapies include art in various mediums, writing/journaling, music, and role-play. Robyn loves thinking “out-of-the-box” allowing clients to find something that provides them with a unique and therapeutic experience. Robyn has worked with youths and families, both individually and in group settings, throughout her entire career.
Robyn began working at GenPsych, PC when she moved to New Jersey in May 2011. She is excited about starting the Adolescent Program at our Brick location and believes this program will benefit families in the community tremendously. She recently started her own private practice for children and teens, Paint the Stars Art Therapy, LLC, which focuses on helping the youth of today gain a better understanding of respect for themselves and their peers. In her spare time Robyn enjoys creating her own artwork utilizing all mediums.
