Genpsych, a leading provider of psychiatric and substance abuse outpatient services was founded by Dr. Henry Odunlami in October 2005. The organization has grown in recent years and presently offers office sites providing mental health programs and services in the following locations:
Sumter
In December 2009, the GenPsych Institute of Chemical Dependency was founded in Bridgewater to provide morning and evening substance abuse outpatient treatment. Additionally, the Eating Disorders program and TMS, Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy, for outpatients was established recently.
GenPsych opened its second office in March 2010 in Hamilton, NJ. This site provides Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and is the only Intensive Outpatient Program in NJ with this distinction. The Hamilton site offers both adult and adolescent services. As well as offering DBT therapy, Hamilton has the Adult Partial Care program, an Intensive Outpatient Program servicing adolescents or adults, and Substance Abuse recovery services.
Genpsych has a Princeton center, as well, opened early in 2011, which offers services to both adult and adolescent patients. This office provides an Adult Mental Health Partial Care Program and an Intensive Outpatient Program for adults and adolescents, similar to Hamilton’s programs. Substance Abuse recovery services are also offered.
Genpsych is planning to merge its services offered at the Hamilton facility with the services currently being offered in Princeton and will open a new office location accommodating the combination of programs in Lawrenceville, NJ in 2012. The Hamilton and Princeton locations will subsequently be closed.
The South Carolina office recently opened in December 2010 in Sumter, SC to provide adult and adolescent Substance Abuse treatments, as well as Mental Health Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospital Programs. It is the only facility in Sumter that provides intensive outpatient services.
Genpsych is also pleased to announce that as of September, 2011, the company established the office located in Brick, NJ, a new mental health facility offering therapeutic psychiatric and substance abuse services in an outpatient setting. The programs for adolescents and adults in Brick include the Intensive Outpatient Programs, the Eating Disorders Program, the Partial Care Program, and Substance Abuse recovery treatment services.
Genpsych takes pride in serving those in need of recovery. As a provider of top quality outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse services, Genpsych is dedicated to helping children, adults, and their families restore and maintain emotional health outside of a hospital setting. Currently, GenPsych has grown from 3 employees in November 2008 to over 70 employees, including doctors, therapists, nurse practitioners, lawyers and other ancillary professionals in our well-equipped locations.
